The extraordinary adventures of

It had to happen one day (as we all know, all good things must come to an end…), and even though we added a few stops to really…

What’s all this fuss about?

Well… it’s about us, overlanding in our expedition truck:  our planning, our routes, our adventures and our truck (better known to his friends as Marvin).

Marvin is a big, stealth(-ish), dark-green and white (sometimes), off-road expedition truck, on an Iveco Daily 4×4 chassis. It was designed for us by Zocama in Spain (Barcelona) to stand the vagaries of our adventures.

The update frequency of this blog is likely to be patchy (based on our travel progress – which, by definition, is slow with a 7t truck and a speed limiter – and our general enthusiasm for generating content 😉), but we will add a post every time we will have something to share. Don’t expect “National Geographic”-like content as we are still learning the ropes… but we’ll try our best!

As an important note, this is a purely non-commercial website and we do not receive any commercial reward from any product or service mentioned or recommended here, nor generate any revenue from this website.

Where are we right now?

This is our (approximate) location, based on the position of Marvin’s GPS tracker

about Marvin?

It’s 13 Septembre 2022. We have a brand new expedition truck and plans to travel to… errrr… well… everywhere really! It’s going to be our home for all terrains and all conditions, it’s going to become a proper team member with his own personality. How did we get there ? Here’s (a short version of) the story of how “the Truck” became “Marvin“…

Contributing our share…

Climate change and biodiversity loss aren’t just a line on a chart or yet another scientific report making headlines in the media. For us mountain enthusiasts, it is personal, it is in our backyards and it is happening right now. Isn’t it a bit contradictory then to drive a huge diesel-powered truck around the world?…

Travelling the world (or at least part of it) in an expedition vehicle will unarguably have an impact on the environment as would, to some extend, any nature-related activity. Keeping this in mind, we have purposefully designed our vehicle, as well as our project, for this impact to be as limited as possible.
