This is just goodbye…
The adventure ends after 7 months and 19 countries visited. Back to the starting point, in Andorra, where it all began, on 13 March this year. A few small administrative details to sort out, and we will be ready for the next adventure. After this extraordinary experience, we are not going to stop there!…

We could have changed our itinerary once more, we could have gone back north to see the Northern Lights or south to enjoy the mild winter there, but when you start something, you have to finish it. So we resisted the temptation (although strong) and took the road back to Andorra, just to close the loop.
To celebrate this adventure, we took a break in Villefranche-de-Conflent, where we had the pleasure, for the second time, to taste the delicious dishes of restaurant Le Patio (a highly recommended address), before continuing towards the Cerdagne, finding the Pyrenean mountains again, being surprised to see the Cadí so imposing so close to us (we had probably forgotten, after all this time), and then turning right at La Seu d’Urgell for the last few kilometres before the border.
It was 13 March the last time we crossed that same border, but in the other direction. Seven months later, we’re back in Andorra with a big smile from the customs officer when he saw Marvin, and mountains adorned with their autumn colours. Feelings are mixed, between the joy of being back and the sadness that this adventure is ending. A bit like “Saudade”, in a way, that untranslatable Portuguese term that refers to that melancholic, vague and constant, and probably somewhat impossible, desire for something other than the present…
This last post is probably also the best moment to thank you, you who followed us during these 7 months. The comments you sent us motivated us to continue telling our adventures, day after day, and all of them always warmed our hearts.
This post is not a farewell, though. Just a goodbye… We have to sort out some administrative details (Marvin’s technical inspection, passports renewal, etc.), and we don’t know yet where the next few months will take us, but one thing is for sure: it’s only a matter of time before we hit the road again!
Thanks again for spending the last seven months with us. We thought we’d prepare one or two more posts to summarize the whole trip so… see you soon for more!…
